This summer, Community Health Alliance is making one of its largest community outreach efforts to date, investing in a comprehensive advertising campaign designed to connect more individuals and families with life-changing services and support.
In recognition of Mental Health Month, Local 12’s What’s Happening in Health featured healthcare and behavioral health organizations from across the region to discuss the growing need for mental health support, treatment resources, and community awareness. During the May 17, 2026 segment, Rebecca Dickerscheid, Executive Director of Sojourner Recovery Services, joined host Meghan Mongillo to discuss anxiety, recovery, crisis intervention, and the vital role Community Health Alliance plays in serving Butler and Warren counties.
This Easter season, the Paragon Optimist Club continued its tradition of giving, partnering with Sojourner for the 11th year to deliver Easter baskets to children who might not otherwise receive one, as well as youth in residential programs. Christine Birhanzl, Director of Recovery Services, helped lead deliveries to the Recovery House, MAMA’s House, and children in the community who would have otherwise gone without.

On January 24th, Dayton Public Schools hosted Family Wellness Day, a free event open to DPS students and families. The day was dedicated to whole-person wellness and featured a wide range of activities, including a free self-care lab, yoga classes, speaker sessions, prizes, giveaways, and more. Sponsored by Charlie Health, the event created a welcoming space for families to learn, engage, and prioritize their well-being together
