Every child deserves a strong start, and every parent deserves support along the way.
On Wednesday, June 24, Butler County United Way will host a special Day of Action focused on assembling Community Baby Shower Care Packages for the Sojourner Perinatal Program. This community-driven event brings volunteers together to provide essential items for pregnant and postpartum women working toward healthy futures for themselves and their children.
The Sojourner Perinatal Program supports pregnant and postpartum women who are navigating substance use recovery by connecting them with education, healthcare referrals, and individualized services tailored to their unique needs. Services continue throughout pregnancy and up to 12 months postpartum, helping mothers build stability, strengthen recovery, and create healthy environments for their families.
Many of the women served through the program rely on community support to access basic necessities for their infants. That’s why Butler County United Way’s Day of Action will focus on collecting and assembling care packages filled with items that make a meaningful difference for new and expecting mothers.
Donations of diapers (sizes 1, 2, and 3), baby wipes, bibs, burp cloths, baby detergent, baby tubs, washcloths, towels, onesies, socks, sleepers, sleep sacks, toys, baby nail clippers, shampoo, body wash, and lotion are all welcome.
Community members are invited to participate by donating supplies or volunteering to help assemble care packages during the event.
